Privacy Policy

Your biodata holds some of the most personal information you will ever share. Here is exactly how we treat it.

Last updated: 24 July 2026

The short version: BiodataMakers builds your biodata entirely inside your own browser. We do not have a database of biodatas. When you close the tab, the details you entered are gone from our side. We never sell, rent, or share your information.

1. Who we are

BiodataMakers ("we", "us", "our") operates the website at biodatamakers.online, a free online tool that helps people create marriage biodatas. You can reach us any time at info@biodatamakers.online.

2. The information you enter

To create a biodata you may type in details such as your name, date and place of birth, height, religion, caste, education, occupation, family background, contact details, and you may upload a photograph. This is sensitive information, and we treat it as such.

Where it goes: everything you type or upload is processed locally, in your browser. To keep your work from disappearing if you reload the page, it is saved temporarily in your browser's own session storage on your device. It is never transmitted to us, and it is cleared when you close the tab or clear your browser data. Your photo is only used to place it inside your chosen template; it is never uploaded to a server of ours.

3. What we do not do

  • We do not store your biodata, name, photo, or family details on any server we control.
  • We do not require an account, an email address, or any registration to use the tool.
  • We do not sell, rent, or pass your information to advertisers, data brokers, or matrimonial platforms.
  • We do not build a marketing profile of you.

4. Information we do collect

Two limited exceptions where information reaches us:

  • If you contact us. When you send a message through our contact form or by email, we receive your name, email address, and message so that we can reply. We keep this only as long as needed to handle your query.
  • Basic, anonymous analytics. Like most websites, we may collect aggregate, non-identifying usage data (such as which pages are visited and general device type) to improve the site. This does not include the contents of your biodata.

5. Cookies

We keep cookies to a minimum. We use your browser's local and session storage to remember your theme choice (light or dark) and to hold your in-progress biodata on your device. These are functional and stay on your device. We do not use cookies to track you across other websites.

6. Third-party services

When you submit our contact form, your message is delivered to our inbox through a reputable form-delivery service acting purely as a messenger. When you download or share your biodata, that happens on your device. Fonts and similar assets may load from trusted providers. We choose partners that respect user privacy, but their handling of data is governed by their own policies.

7. Your rights

Because we do not hold your biodata, most "delete my data" requests are satisfied simply by closing the tab. Where we do hold something (for example, a contact message), you have the right to access it, correct it, or ask us to erase it. Under the EU and UK GDPR, information revealing religious beliefs or ethnic origin is classed as special category data with the highest level of protection, and under India's Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, 2023, you have the right to access and erasure. To exercise any right, email info@biodatamakers.online.

8. Children

BiodataMakers is intended for adults creating marriage biodatas. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service evolves or the law changes. When we do, we will revise the "last updated" date above. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
